Karl Heinz Wenger
Karl Heinz Wenger:
Born in the country of Austria in the town of Grimseldorf the son of a operator of a coal and heating oil company, he would have followed in his father's footsteps had it not been for a painting he gave his aunt.  She convinced Heinz's father to allow him to pursue art.  Austria is perhaps the country that has produced the most outstanding art and music of the past 2000 years.  Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Haydn, Klimt, Moser, the names can fill the page.  Point is that the art atmosphere continues to produce wonderful artists that follow in the footsteps of the former masters.

Karl Heinz Wenger, has dedicated his life to the art of painting.  He makes his own paint to the specifications of the painting that he is creating.  In Austria some artists are permitted to make a replica of the priceless works in the museum.  Mr Heinz is one of those chosen and he endeavors to recreate the paint specification used hundreds of years ago by the masters.

In Vienna he is legitimately commissioned to make replicas of the museum pieces.  He also creates originals primarily of flowers.  Most of his subjects are the flowers grown by his lovely wife Maria in her garden near a small lake in a beautiful area near Vienna called Burganland.  In our view the most beautiful flower he chose is his wife Maria.

Below please find photos of some of Karl Heinz Wenger's paintings.  The photos do not allow you to see the minute detail he places on the canvas.  You must come to the gallery to see them up close.

This painting is a replica of a painting created in the 1600's portraying the king of Belgium being saluted by cannon fire as he approaches his ship in the middle of the fleet.  Columbus used a square sail boat.  These ships are historically significant because they are the newer triangular sails which permitted the ships to travel against the wind by "tacking".
This is another painting uf the ships that used the triangular sail in the sixteenth century.  Notice the painting captures the choppy waters caused by the oncoming storm.  What brave adventurous men sailed these ships around the world.  This is a replica but the original is not signed.
This is a Karl Heinz Wenger original.  Notice the amazing detail and the number of objects included in the painting.  the clear strong colors give a positive element ot the ambiance of the work.
Another original using a sunflower from Maria's garden and a actual cloth that no more is available.  Notice the detail of the cloth.  This painting took a lot of encouragement from Marla Moser the gallery owner to coax it from the Wenger collection.

The paintings above, below and to the sides are replicas of paintings painted by masters.  Mr. Wenger has a masterful way of replicating the paintings.  Over the years he has painted many of the priceless paintings for commissions and for his own collection.
