Hans Smitting has given to us, that have not been to Vienna, a taste of the elegance of Vienna that was and remains and will always be. Now we know that the elegance was not of money and power much of which was lost but of the people who decided in favor of beauty. The Vienese remain committed to all the arts, music, theatre, liturature and paintings in what they experience in their daily lives. They live with it as those in California live with the sea and the wonderful sunsets.
